Hi Guys

I got 2012 TL SH-AWD and have some quiet weird sound when driving over 30 mph. It's not that loud but it bother me much. Was checking forum and most likely I need to get my propeller shaft replaced. I bought a car around 3 month ago with 52,000 miles on it not from Acura dealer, car is not certified. I'm the second owner and as they told me at dealership warranty already expired. As far as I know Acura gives 70.000 miles or 6 years factory drivetrain warranty.

Anybody knows if factory warranty will be still valid for my car in this case and if dealer should replace me propeller shaft under warranty?

Yep I googled that but do you know if warranty will still work for my car. It's not certified so I'm not sure about it

The powertrain warranty is 6yrs/70k miles however It's not as inclusive as the bumper to bumper warranty. It may take a "failure" for them to replace under the powertrain warranty.

Anybody had experience replacing any parts with such kind of warranty? Any tips how to act with dealer in this case?

I would think the propeller shaft is covered under the powertrain warranty.

OP your warranty begins at the first in service date of your car. The 2012 TL was the MMC, and if I remember correctly it was first shown in Feb of 2011 and went on sale around April 2011. So even if the first owner took delivery of it in mid 2011 you should still be covered under the 6/70K.
