Opinions Wanted - DRL/High Beams/Foglight Upgrades

Hey guys,

I recently purchased a 2013 SH-AWD Base TL in Bellanova White Pearl.

One of the first mods I'd like to do is change out the daytime running lights, fog lights and high beams. At this point, I'm thinking either blue or yellow.

Just wondering if you might be able to chime in with your opinions (I know it's based on personal preference) but I'm honestly undecided right now.

Pics of course would be appreciated.

Thanks!

PS - Purple was suggested to me but I'm dismissing that option at this point. Any opinions on this are also welcomed.

are you mechanically include to do this yourself?

also stock is the way to go. hid on fogs = blinding oncoming traffic... and led drl's only give the look and has no real function as far as HIGH Beams go.

I have the 55W slim kit in my fog lights and it is definitely an improvement. Looks pretty good, and since these are pretty low I had so far no issues with blinding oncoming traffic.
DRL I have one of the LEDs that you can get on line but you will loose the high beams. Might be better to get the Silverstar and maintain the high beams. I actually miss the high beams and will probably be getting something else.

Just pull the fuse for the DRLs and leave the rest stock.

Here's my $.02:

1. Pull the DRL fuse (you lose the ugly yellow DRL's but you still have your high beams).
2. Tape off terminals on the turn signals so they only light up when signaling.
3. Replace your factory low beams with 6k and upgrade your fogs to 5k.

As you stated it's all personal preference. I don't find the HID fogs to be too much since they're low and aim at the ground. I have 6k for low beams and fogs and the fogs definitely have more blue (which is why I suggested 6k/5k combo). I also don't like having 6 lights up front which is why I taped off the terminals on my turn signals. Finally, I need my high beams so LED's wouldn't work for me.

Here's my setup according to my crappy cell phone camera and lacking photography skills.
