No Bixenon on 2009 TL ??
I don't understand why there's no bixenon on TL. In my 2007 TL there's on high and low beam. I don't know why they did this to the new TL, because it was only a simple mechanism that was using the same bulb for high and low.
So , why HID for high beam, is it on a separate location on the new TL?
DO you think that doing a modification will be costly or difficult ?

Maybe Acura is doing the typical holding back thing again, so that this will be an "upgrade" for the 2010 model???

The headlight has two opening one of the projector (low beam) and the other was either to be used for a high beam or the DRLs. Since the DRLs are located in the bumper now they used the extra opening of halogen high beams.
It may be a simple mechanism but you have to understand that it isnt cheap, especially when you time the cost to hundreds and thousands of cars. Most of the acura lineup uses the same low beam projectors. I know this because the current gen TSX projectors are the same that are found in the old one and also the current RDX. RL is the only one with the AFS option and even that has been having problems. So to avoid any complications they have just stuck a set of low beam projectors in the headlights.
Acura headlights also lack the sophistication of most other Japanese cars, especially Lexus. Lexus has made the AFS and auto leveling options almost standard on all of its cars.
The sad part is that the company that makes the headlights for Acura (Stanley/koito) is the same that makes headlights for Lexus/Toyoto, Porsche, Bentley and a few others.
