I was phone screened last week for an automotive opinion event (based on the fact that we had a 2012 TL). I attended the presentation today at the Pasadena Convention Center and I am 99% sure this was organized and presented by Acura. It was very very similar to an Acura one I went to circa 2002 where they had a concept version of the 3rd Gen TL. For this one they had 8 vehicles in the Exhibit Hall--Infiniti Q50, Audi A4, Lexus IS 200T, Mercedes CL300, BMW 328, BMW 428, Acura TLX, and the mystery vehicle. I suspected the mystery vehicle was the next gen TLX based on similarities between the current TLX instrument gauges/layout and the interior of the mystery vehicle. Then when I got home I did some googling and the vehicle I saw was essentially the Acura Precision Concept. On the spec sheet near the end of the survey they started referring to the car as Acura TLX.

The exterior styling was gorgeous and the interior was also great. The specs show it might be a turbocharged 4 putting out about 272 HP.

I suspect some of the others here have already come across this but figured I would report anyway. Hope they end up building this.

 

Cool. Anyway the refreshed TLX will have a new front grill like the 2017 MDX and the exhaust tips may show again. But not sure if it will be for 2017 or 2018.
