Lightbulb New Whip..Time to Detail

Hey everyone!

I've been loving my new 2010 AWD TL.

However, after taking it on a road trip across the country it really needs a nice cleaning.

I've been trying to look around for a product to clean the interior dash, door paneling, & buttons etc..

I'm looking for something that won't leave a sticky/streaking residue. Also, I'm looking for something that will make scuff marks not as apparent. (i'm a girl so my girls and I go out in heels lol)

I'm also looking for a good wax that works well for the exterior.
When I had purchased the vehicle the dealer said there are waxes that contain black paint pigments.

Any recommendations for interior cleaners & exterior wax is greatly appreciated.

Not really too hot as far as ArmorAll goes to be honest. (leaves sticky, streaking residue)

Thanks in advance to everyone!

Gemz,
Enjoy your new ride!

Here is a thread specifically about dash products, I use the Aerospace 303 but there are a few really good products that don't leave residue and protect. https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/%2A%2A-dashboard-cleaner-protector-%2A%2A-888970/

Not sure about the waxes with black "specs" but I am sure you could give it a search.

Rich

+1 for Aerospace 303 for your interior. I also recommend Lexol leather cleaner and Lexol conditioner.

As far as wax I use
Meguiar's High Tech Yellow Wax #26 Meguiar's High Tech Yellow Wax #26
and have been very happy with it. I wax every 4 months and polish every 8 months using
Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish Meguiar's Deep Crystal Polish
.

These are definitely not the best products out there, but I've found them to be a good blend of quality / value.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. Plenty of good products out there for interior and exterior. I tend to use Meguiars for the exterior and Lexol on the interior but such choices are suggestive only. You can spend more or less regarding time and money depending on your personal preferences.

One thing to keep in mind OP, is choose your car wash wisely. Some noobs (not suggesting you are one) will grab their kitchen dish soap and head outside not realizing they're stripping off the wax in doing so. With that said, I recommend
Meguiar's Gold Class Meguiar's Gold Class
.

Looks like Oswald and I are on the same page when it comes to car washing

I use Zaino Brother products for exterior cleaning and care. I use Lexol for the interior. Haven't addressed the dashboard yet but am leaning towards Aerospace 303.

I suggest Aerospace 303 for dash and hard plastic trim on for the hard plastic in the interior near the door, an area you're likely to scuff with heels. I use Lexol cleaner and conditioner for my leather, but I bought it before I knew about leatherique clean and conditioner. Which I plan to buy as soon as I'm low on Lexol. There are plently of waxes that claim to be better for darker finishes, I've yet to try any but I do have some suggestions as to what in my opinion is a superior wax product. I prefer liquid over paste wax because of ease of use and because it's almost impossible to contaminate the liquid wax and very easy to contaminate the paste when apply the product to the paint. One product I really like because of the ease of use and quality is chemical guys butter wet wax. Youtube that, and watch the chemical guys promo video on how to apply.

thank you everyone for your responses, I really appreciate it!

Does anyone have a preference between the Acura leather cleaner/conditioner compared to lexol?

Absolutely Aerospace 303 for the interior/dash.

There's so much on the market for the exterior. I'm liking Griot's Garage products now.
