Hello all,

Just picked up a 2010 Acura TL SH AWD, WDP with the Aspec lip kit. 74000kms on this one. From Calgary Alberta, Canada...winter here are brutal. and it being used as a DD.

Future Mods: ATLP catback (Maybe), Tint all around, Coilovers (maybe). I really like the stock look.

Any thing I should know about the car? or beware of?

There's nothing really wrong with the car in general or should be. Every car has it's problems but I have not heard of any huge manufacturing defects with Acura TL's.

I heard multiple people having problems with the ELS sound system with speakers blowing but other then that nothing.

I just purchased a TL yesterday 09 white on umber leather.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

To avoid blowing out the speakers rip the music on the HDD and don't play it off your iPod/USB. When playing it off those types of devices there's a lot of distortion, the music might be louder but not as crisp.

Good to see another Aziner from Calgary. Make sure you get some winter tires to make your drive that much better for 5 months of our winter. Post some pics of your ride. Did you get it from Silverhill by any chance.

I ended up driving up to Edmonton to pick up a set of winter tires and rims back in Nov during a blizzard. Walmart is having clearance on winter tires pretty cheap right now for 17 inch size around $75. Not Michelin, but still should exceed all season tire performance. Rims, you can try to get from Tire Rack or Kijiji for take-offs.

Finding 17X7.5 with a bore of 64.1 and with a bolt pattern of 5x120! yea i was looking at tirerack last night. tire i can find anywhere. this bolt patter really messed things up. lol

Wrong. Average Kilo Per Year is 20-25 for a car.

Great purchase and welcome. I just recently bout a 2010 TL aswell and actually used and read a few things people talked to you about so just saying thanks. I dont know about your plans but I am going to change my read diff fluid once i learn how.

My '10 TL's right rear speaker was blown and come to find out, my VIN # was part of the list that needed a free replacement. The dealership replaced ALL the speakers for free. I also had a chance to drive the new ILX as a loaner and made me appreciate my TL even more.

wow they didnt say anything about my speakers the last time i went in though they sound fine i also play music from an ipod i dont blast the volume though the highest i go is probably 25, 29 the most and my bass and sub is always at +1 or in the negative the quality sound is so good with 10 speakers including a center you dont need it that loud imo

we drive HONDAS you do not have to worry about miles thats like 10k on it ..my salesman told me "take care of your care and your car will take care of you", it makes sense and sounds funny but its true and thats with any care I think.

YNOT8....Gorgeous!! The 2009-2011 in white with the BodyKit is in my opinion, the best of the best!

You were asking about the potential problems with the TL...just keep an ear open for the "propeller shaft" whine that seems to be quite common.
