New Member-'09 TL SH-AWD
Hi everyone-
Thought I would post and say hi! I'm a long-time Acura fan in the Milwaukee, WI area. I've had several TL, CL and RL vehicles over the years, and most recently purchased a 09 Crystal Black Pearl TL SH-AWD for my mother to replace her 02 TL Type S which she purchased new way back in 2001. I decided to join to learn more about the 4G TL in particular, and what I can do to increase its curb appeal. I really enjoy the car, but not a fan of the front grille - it needs some attention! I'm already eyeing up some OEM accessories for it like a rear spoiler (its a non-tech car) bodyside mouldings, sport chrome grilles, and mudflaps. I'll likely put a light tint on the windows and taillights too. I'd love to see some pictures of what other fellow members have done to their CBP TL's. I'm looking for a clean, subdued, sleek look, so open to suggestions! I'm sure I'll be exercising the credit card here in the next 24 hours. Is there a particular parts source everyone uses? I know for Lexus, I've always purchased from Darrel at Sewell Lexus, and he is the "go-to-guy" for Lexus stuff at really great prices. Is there a Acura "go-to-person" like that?? (yes, I said person as not to offend anyone on my first post!)
Aside from Acura's I also am a big Lexus fan, as well as Buick Grand Nationals. My everyday drivers are a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT (Black) and 03 Lexus GX 470 for towing around the waverunners. I also have a 50k mile 1987 Buick Grand National that I've owned for 13 years. Its undergoing a meticulous frame-off restoration. It ran 11.40's when I took it apart, the new combination should be good for low 10s with some traction.
Best,
Gino

Congrats and welcome Gino - enjoy your new ride. PS - After a while the OEM grill tends to grow on you. You might actually learn to like it - give it a chance!
