New guy-Looking at a '10 TL FWD Tech/Nav
Hi Folks!
Great site- new guy here looking for a little help.
I have my eye on a 2010 Fwd with under 40K miles, like the title says it has tech. and nav. Looks to be in excellent condition and also has the 18 inch 5 spoke wheels and rear spoiler. Not CPO.
They want $25K for the car- does that sound reasonable?
I was hoping to find a 2010 closer to $20K.
If a 2009 closer to $17K.
With the options this 2010 has KBB pegs it right under $25K.
I've noticed a couple of people mention "MT" vehicles as being great deals, what does this mean?
Thanks for any advice you can provide.
Regards, John

for reference, my buddy just picked up a 2010 cpo shawd tech and payed 23500 plus ttl ... the car had 61k on it ...
for a fwd with lower mileage not cpo i would agree with what you are thinking in terms of pricing ... just remember what they are asking is always ridiculous compared to what they are willing to let go of the car for ... so show them ur serious, and offer them with what your comfortable with and go from there ...
MT ... stands for manual transmission i believe, and they are not made for the fwd trim, so u would have to step up to the shawd if u want a mt. i dont think they are great deals atleast IMO, i really wanted a MT, but the dealer would not budge on the price of one of the MT SHAWD they had on the lot ... so i ended up going with a automatic and ended up getting a really good deal

I would say the price is decent. It depends on the place where you gonna purchase and the condition of the car. To give you a heads up, last year on summer i bought my 09 TL Tech with 53k miles for 23k, not CPO.

Welcome to the forum. Saying it has tech AND nav is redundant - ALL techs have nav and rear spoiler. That aside, deal seems decent for the mileage. 18's were a $1k option that year. Of course if they want to sell it bad enough you can always try to get them to go lower or throw in some extras. I have a 10 Tech and love it!

I think the price is too high for a 2010. I picked up a 2010 SH-AWD w/Tech $22.9 w/67K miles. The lower miles doesn't offset the lower state of trim on the FWD 2010 you're looking at. I'd look for something around $21K with that mileage and trim. Check out cars.com for a quick list of prices from dealers and private parties with 2010 Acuras.

^i agree, with some haggling you could prob get them to knock off a few grand, the 4g is not a prized possession in which they can demand a premium for. give them ur offer and if they wont budge, let them know if they dont sell it and they are willing to consider ur offer down the road to give u a call ...

Thanks everybody for the great info. These are some sharp cars...
I think one of the things that has attracted me to the TL is that it doesn't look like everything else on the road.
That and the fact that the polarizing style seems to make them a little more affordable because they aren't on everybody's radar.
Going back and forth on a couple year old loaded luxury sedan (TL) VS a brand new econo-sedan (Camry or Accord).
Thanks again everybody for the help!

The current-model Accord is a techno marvel when compared to the couple year old TL.

Coming from an Accord I can say that you'll be sorry you got stuck with that 6 when you could have had a 9!!!

Back in Nov I bought a 2010 tech from an offlease dealer for 24800. Had 23k miles and very clean. No accidents, one owner off lease. Love it. Just be patient.
They do not charge dealer fees. The only thing the car is missing is the 2nd set of keys and the DVD-A it is supposed to come with.
