Neighbor Hit My Car

Neighbor Hit My Car
So as the title states my neighbor parked far to close to my TL and managed to clip the side of my Passenger mirror causing paint transfer on her truck and damage to my mirror. Had to call the cops and get a police report and she finally decided to come outside to see the damage. I haven’t gone thru insurance but she has agreed to pay out of pocket and I gave her a $294 quote from a bodyshop. You think I’m being to extreme for minor damage? How would you all go about this?

Extreme? Hardly. People should be held responsible for their F-ups. Judging from the park job, the neighbor is a bit of a douche.
My bet...you'll have some trouble collecting. I was in a similar situation once (though the other party wasn't a friend or neighbor); I gave them one chance to pay the bill...and made it clear that any delay or bickering would just send me to their insurer. You're holding the cards; don't be afraid to play them.

F her; she parked like a douche, hit you, left and took no responsibility .... I would not give her much chance.
Do things right, I'll be clever. Play it like a scumbag, F U ...

Good news everyone! She paid me this morning in cash! So I’m happy about that. Now I have to go about repairing the damage. I’m glad she didn’t end up hitting the entire car. Would be an mess getting a shop to match white pearl paint. Thank you all for the good advice.

Just touch it up! Unless you want to deal with replacing the mirror cover that involves taking door panel out, inside window trim and disassembling the housing. In case you break the mirror they run for about $40. Just go to your local Acura dealer parts counter, ask for touch up paint and provide with vin number.

Thank you everyone for the recent suggestions! I decided to touch it up. Gonna use the rest of the money on a full detail and ceramic pro coating on the car.
Touched it up with a Honda White Orchard Pearl pen that I have.
