How long was your lease term, with 406 days to go? Since the 2012 model came out around this time last year, right?

If you think the A-pillar is bad in the TL, you should try driving a Buick Lacrosse sometime...

I love my car, but one thing I Dont understand is how the blindspot has anything to do with being rear ended 3 times. Thats usually got to do with vehicles behind you.

Hey, OP - you don't have to wait for the lease to expire. If you're not happy with the car, trade it in on something else.

A lease is just another way of financing a car, and you're not obligated to wait until it runs out. In fact, I have leased for over 20 years, and I've only run one lease until it ended. I always trade out early - in fact I just did it this past weekend ... for a 2012 TL!

Yup - i've done the same on the last 2 cars I've had - both had 36 month leases - one I turned in after 20 months - the other after 30 months.

Don't you guys take a big hit, break even or profit when trading in early?

Both times I did it the dealer took my lease off my hands with no money out of pocket. I only setup leases where I pay very little out of pocket to start the lease (<$1000).

Every car has drawbacks.

There are certainly cars with better visibility than a TL, but blind spots don't really even exist if your mirrors are set correctly. Like Pete said, a lot of people just don't set their mirrors correctly. You should be able to see cars on your right out of both the rear view (the back half of the car) and right door mirror (the front part of the car) at the same time.

I have the blind spot indicators in my car, but they were not a selling point for me. I bought Advance because I wanted the seat ventilators. I drive interstate rush hour every day, and the only marginal value the BSIs provide is in the winter when its dark. Even then they are more of a safety net than anything else.

I love my TL!
