Mugen thermostat and fan switch

I had both of these installed on my old 2001 CL Type S. Anyone know if these will fit on the 4G TL SH-AWD?

Have you checked manufacturer's website for a compatibility list?

I see the OEM thermostat part numbers are the same for the 2001 CL Type S and 2012 TL SH-AWD so the Mugen one should fit then. I'll give it a try.

Honestly, I don't think this is something I'd do in the TL.

I did this on my S2000 because of overheating issues but on a stock car I'm not sure why you'd want to lower the temp the fans kick on or anything.

The thermostat is 80C on our cars so changing it out won't do very much.

If anything, look into the ultimate cooling mod, coolant throttlebody by-pass, intake manifold spacers (thermo ones and p2r spacer). These mods alone will help you keep peak power since the J-series is prone to heatsoak.

On TL or in general?

On the S2000 I have a Spoon setup (thermostat, fan switch, and rad cap) to help solve some overheating issues. The thermostat opens up at different temp, the fans cut on at a lower temp, and the rad cap increases the pressure which helps prevent boiling.

This is for the OP. I understand why in general but why on your 4g TL?

Sorry, I eventually decided against doing this mod for now. Maybe later though.
