Missing left license plate light [2010 TL]

I recently purchased a 2010 TL and noticed that the left license plate light assembly is missing. I checked in the bumper area and didn't even notice a connector for the light. The old owner did add backup sensors that beep when you are close to an object. I suspect whoever did the install removed one light and used the power connector for the backup sensors. I plan on ordering a new left license plate light assembly.
Would it be possible to use wiring from the right license plate light to power the left light. If so, what wiring would I need to connect to the power running to the right license plate light.

Any idea where I can find the gauge of the wire that goes to the license plate light assembly. I found the part but no reference to the wire size is made.
