Loose Gasket

Just noticed that a gasket is coming out from under the side of my spoiler on my 2010 SH-AWD Tech. Have an appointment with the dealer but wondering if anyone else ever had this problem.

Not sure why any kind of Gasket would be near a spoiler? Is this Front-Rear, Left-Right??? Let us know what they find...

Do you mean the double sided adhesive is coming out? If so, this happened to my decklid spoiler on my 07TL-s and current 2010 SH-AWD. I went to the dealer and they put new double sided adhesive down and now it's fine. It happened to my dad's 07 TL-s as well.

I now have the "gasket" coming out from under my decklid spoiler on my 2010 SH-AWD. I think the hot weather has something to do with it. It seems like it's a rubber material. Service manager said they typically just cut off what's poking out if it's not excessive.

I did a search on the forum and found this thread, so I thought I'd add my experience.

I think you are talking about the rear spoiler on the trunk lid! I had that as well.. Took a bit of silicone seal, placed a bit on the small piece that was sticking out, about 3/4 inch long, and used a small screwdriver to jam it back in place. Been fine for the last 2 months here in San Diego, and we are not having Hot Weather, like 72 degrees today, a perfect Saturday!

I took a closer look. It's more like squishy sticky 2-sided foam tape. Could cut through it with my fingernail. I cut off the loop sticking out and tucked the ends under the spoiler. Problem solved.

^ I've had the same issue with mine, at almost the same position as yours...I cut off the protruding adhesive, and I think it's due to the hot weather we have here in Texas. I've done this twice now and now the spoiler seems a bit loose... will address this when I take in for the first service...
