Loaned TSX because my TL is in the shop and...

The TL is so much better!!! The TSX has no guts at all, even in S mode the engine is just trying to keep up with what I'm trying to push.

Anyhow, I can't wait to get my TL back tomorrow. I was hearing a rattling sound underneath the carriage.

I was really upset when I saw the guy in from of me get the ZDX loaner.

Has anyone else driven the TSX and TL, then compared?

Of course not, I'm not saying it should be as good as my TL, however its night and day! I was surprised! This did have the Tech package but the dash everything is quite a few steps below my 2009 TL, and I wanna say this was a 2011 or 2012 TSX, only 7K miles on it.

I'm just saying, I can't wait to get my TL back. There was issue with my speakers and this rattle, and I'm not getting it back until tomorrow. I called and asked if I get into a ZDX, they're going to let me know later if its a possibility.

I will be in a position to comapre TSX (4banger) with TL SH-AWD Advance Tech (or Elite) by next week or so.....for me moving up from Corolla to TSX was a bigggg jump in feel and performance...I hope the jump in performance from TSX to TL would be the same if not bigger than Corolla to TSX....

some people choose the tsx for the better fuel economy - 4 cyl. it is a smaller car then the 4g, and the price is a bit lower, reminded me a little of a 3g tl. now you can get a 6 cyl in them if wanted. different strokes for different folks........

Congrats on the upgrades! The TSX is fine, but I've just gotten used to my TL. My other car is an Altima, 2003 and its night and day!

I was just driving the loaner TSX out and about on my lunch break and was racing it around.

The good thing about loaner cars is that you can tear them apart, its not your car, right?

It's all about doing your racing when cops aren't around. There was a mile stretch, I got the TSX up to 90 in 4th gear! S-mode, using the paddles. It was basically in the red....

Suspended license and doing 90, very good idea on your part. I look forward to the post of how the loaner car got you arrested. If you were good at racing when the cops weren't around you wouldn't have 4 tickets and a suspended license.

That said, yea the 4 cylinder TSX is going to be a downgrade from the TL.

I test drove both TSX Special Edition and TL base. Needless to say, I got the TL Base in my driveway.

The deal I got on the TL base also was a big factor. Only $1k more than the TSX Special Edition.

Just cause you're in a loaner car don't mean your licenses isn't suspended anymore. I'm sure if the dealership knew about your suspended licenses you wouldn't even be in that loaner car right now. And you post about it here like your NBC reporting the news. Think with the head on your shoulders

Wow...

Ok here it is. I love the TSX and im itching to get me a SE 6spd. Compared to my last car HP is about the same, but torque is way off compared to my last car (210HP, 210lb-ft). Anywho If the TL had the looks of the TSX then maybe it'd be the best seller. Not knocking the TL at all, love what Acura did for '12. I like how the 3G TL and 1G TSX had similar styling. Has anyone noticed the front ends of both cars from those generations?

Anywho Acura will have a redesign of its lineup in 2-3 years anyway, so no big deal. I'm pretty sure a 6spd TL and SH-AWD is a BEAST on the road, but when it comes to speed limits, pedestrians, traffic, etc there's no way I'd get to enjoy that 305HP, plus I've read the clutch is completely different in the TL compared to the TSX. I'd have to test-drive the TL and TSX back to back, but finding a 6spd TL... Definitely a power-related deal imo. Besides Hondas love to be revved. Anywho a 4-banger won't bother me, espescially with a 6spd. My first 2 cars were 4-bangers an my last car was a V6. Nothing spectacular but I loved the s'charger whine of My Mazda Millenia S.

Oh and no more speeding in a loaner, and take the loaner back to the dealer. If anything happens to that car and it's proved you were beating it up, your in it for a minute, pal. Remember a car can tell on you. If im not mistakened they have "black" boxes in them now (well silver). They keep up the last few secs (like 30 or so) of a crash or anything like that. I have to find the article online again. Take care of the loaner. Even though it's not your car, don't tear it up. It's expensive enough as it is to replace a car that DOESN'T belong to you. Plus you're driving on a suspended liscense? "GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL, DO NOT PASS GO!"

yea, i dont understand why people rant about how great the tsx is and all, but the price comes down, a v6 tsx tech and a v6 tl tech is almost the same price, like a 1.2k difference.

the TL is made with much better material vs the TSX according looking interior...

ive already made a statement on the TSX before but all i got was, "tsx looks better"

needless to say, i drove both before i bought my TL, and the tsx wasnt even par with the TL in standards..

reefer below

  • 2012 TL with Technology PackageStarting at $39,3351
  • 2012 TSX V6 with Technology PackageStarting at $38,4501

I agree 100%. NO dealer is going to put a loaner out without checking the current license. Suspended license, only to/from work, not on your life.

EazyRider562, I want to see a pic - totally crappy is 100% fine - of the so-called TSX loaner with a sign that has my screen name (Bearcat) on it. Make a message if you want; "FU Bearcat" would be perfectly acceptable.

Man, you just won't learn....you talk about all the tickets you've racked up. One would think after 3 tickets that you'd learn your lesson. Honestly, I'm really disappointed in your attitude towards authority and your lack of respect for the dealership and their loaner cars.

What dealership did you get the loaner from?

Completely agree that this fellow is a troll.... Starts threads and goes after others here to elicit emotional responses... I sometimes wonder what would happen if absolutely no one responds to his "questions"

Folks, let's see of the OP can produce proof of his loaner.

Beyond that, I propose we let this thread die so as not to provide additional "entertainment value".

Also, FWIW, I will not create a conflict of interest by locking threads the OP starts or participates in. But I also will neither encourage nor discourage any other moderator from taking action as they see fit.

IOW, if the OP gets a thread locked, it wasn't me. It was the OP's behaviour and the measured response of another moderator. I will however execute the consequences of the previously posted warning.

1. Print or write on a sheet of paper Bearcat's name.
2. Put this sheet of paper somewhere on the car.
3. Take a photo of the TSX with the photo of the sheet clearly visible. Make sure that it's obvious the car is a TSX too.
4. Upload to AZ.

Easy. Or should I say Eazy?
