Lease question--'12 TL 6MT SH-AWD
Got a selling price of $40,843 (with destination) which seems to be a great price. Any strategy for trying to negotiate on the lease acq and dealer fees or are those pretty much fixed?

Negotiated a price a little lower for mine $40293. For a lease the money factor and residual offered were horrible. Monthly cost for lease w/ minimum down actually ended up being more than purchase with the 1.9% interest and trade in ($8000). On the board here I hear that Acura has a .9% deal now. The only problem with purchasing of course is paying all of the tax if you're in a high tax state like me (CA).
See what sort of price you can get on http://www.truecar.com/. It's pretty easy to figure out which dealer is which by the distance away. My dealer didn't want to give me the quoted price so I said I would just log in and purchase through the site to get that price and they relented.

i ended up paying 40.5 for my 6spd manual; they wouldnt budge any more than that. they did throw in the mud guards, trunk tray, and wheel locks however. so sometimes they dont bring the price down but they can give ya some goodies

Agreed. I had to pay for my Pro Pack separately so we basically got the same deal.

Given the scarcity of new 6MTs I'm suprised you guys did that well on your 2012s. Congrats.

The current lease rate is .00166, or .00156 if you opt for $0 due at signing (ask me if you need further details on this option). The residual is 57%. There is also $1250 dealer lease cash available. If you live in CA, there is an additional $500.
