Just joined the fray with a 2013 SH-AWD advance!
I've been lurking around for the past few years to buy a car until I finally pulled the trigger this week. I really wanted a Genesis G80 Sport but I ended up settling for a TL instead. Sure the TL doesn't have all the bells & whistles the G80 offered 😭 but it was something I really wanted in the past. I'll get myself a pair of wings somewhere down the road.. I got the advance trim over the tech though because it gets too freaking hot during the summertime in Chicago. It's a crystal black pearl with ebony interior so those cooled seats better do work lol. I am happy with my car.
Now that that's done, I got other problems I need to deal with. Would I need to purchase an extended warranty? My friend recommended me Endurance since he uses it for his z4. The Acura dealer has a third party one for $3210 good for 48 months after my CPO warranty expires.
I was looking for cheaper auto insurance until I realized my quote went up in price. I got rear ended on the highway in the middle of a traffic jam beginning of the month by a lady who was texting on her damn phone or something!! So dumb because now it affects me trying to buy insurance on my own. I will have to be under parent's policy in order to save $400 a year.

Settling for a TL? lol you did see that the name of this site is Acurazine, right? I drove a Genesis, I much prefer the TL. To each his own I guess. Welcome to the forums.

Welcome to the club I think you'll be happy with the TL, although it ain't no G80. Also, FYI, the seats are only ventilated, not cooled. Although if the AC is routed toward the lower vents the ventilator will pull in the cool air making the seat cooler than regular ambient air would.
The G80 looks pretty kick-ass. Something I'd definitely consider in the future. Way too pricey for me now though. IMO, you got a lot more car for the dollar with a used TL. But give it three years or so and the current G80's will probably be worth it.
