Hey everyone,

Just bought my TL and i am wondering if anyone can give me advice for maintenance and things to look out for in my car. I've been using the triptronic a lot, but i'm seeing now i shouldn't be. Any advice is good advice, just trying to build my knowledge on this beast. Absolutely love this car and want to keep it for as long as i cant. Down the line i want to modify it and make it my own.

Mine is a 2009 with 69k.........haven't had a single issue luckily. Solid cars, congrats!

 

There is nothing wrong with using the manual shift. Think about it - if it would cause damage, would they have it as a feature?

i second this...

the car has the paddle shifters for you to use them....

the car's ECU is smart enough NOT to put your car into any kind of over-rev conditions...meaning it WONT ALLOW YOU TO BREAK THE TRANNY or THE ENGINE
