I'm one sad panda...

Well actually....it's because I was supposed to get my '09 TL SH-AWD TECH this week but I got a message from my dealer telling me it won't be home until 2 more weeks...sigh...

I am REALLY looking forward to drive this car. For me, the styling is awesome and I come from a 2003 Civic so the TL is leaps and bounds ahead...

So I guess it's 2-3 more weeks of waiting...

On the bright side, I'll be the only one in my city with a fully equipped, black on black, '09 TL so having some sense of exclusivity is great! (Yeah there are countless BMW and MB, driven by older folks, so a sharp TL driven by a 30 yo tax lawyer will be quite unique, lol).

I'm eager to drive it and I'll try to write a detailed review. Given I'm a tall guy (6'4'') it could be useful to other tall ppl around here!

Anyway, enough rambling, have a good day!

I know the wait must be tough. black on black is a sharp look. I know that you'll be pleased with the car. Maybe the weather will be a little more shiney-black friendly in two or three weeks!

Oh my..............I know it's killing ya. Well, look at the bright side! Once you get into the drivers seat, it'll be like the "wait was so temporary!" You're gonna love the car. Nice look going stealth. Let us know what you think about the car. Congrats

That's what I like about the 4g forum, you guys (for the most part) are so supportive!

Thanks a lot! Yeah with black on black, it'll be very sharp looking and class, as much as the driver (I always wear sober but sharp looking clothes, it's a trademark of sort where I'm working. Even my clients are telling me this...lol).

It'll defenitly look as something "James Bondesque" and it tends to uhmmm....draw the attention of young women...hahaha!

Thanks for the support, I'll post pics and review when I'll get the car.

Btw, I'll keep the 18'' rims for now (because I like them) but what kind of difference does it make in terms of handling vs. firmness/gas mileage/acceleration?

Have a good day!

Wait a minute, andrew070489 is only 19 too! So the question is, did his mommy and daddy teach him that jealousy is a bad thing?

For the record, I'm 30 and I got only 19 (now 20) posts. For the paint job, I'll see. I'm not the style to tamper too much but then again, I never thought I would buy a luxury sedan one day...

All that started with realistic goals: a car big enough for a tall guy, AWD, with great reliability and a relative good look. I wasn't willing to compromise for this one as I would have kept my Honda Civic instead. The TL was the nly car that fitted all my criteria and I loved the looks the first time I saw it. Having owned a Honda, Acura seemed like a natural move and here we are a few months of number-crunching later!

Have a good day!

i had to wait for my black on black too, the dealer tried to push me into a black/taupe, and black/parchment. i said no way. (he was rushing cuz it was the end of the month) the only thing i don't like, is its a BITCH to keep clean. other than that no regrets! good luck, and have fun! The windows are getting tinted tomorrow and the clear bra is getting done. i strongly recommend a clear bra with the black.....already got a nick

It will be worth the wait once you get behind the wheel.

The clear bra will be installed before delivery. I negotiate it for "free" with the all season mats and 7 year/ 80 000 miles warranty. (I'm financing and I want to keep that car a long time since it's pretty much what I always dreamed of).

Have a good day!
