I'm new, just got a 2010 3.7, and I need help

Ok im new to Acurazine and to the car world. You could call me a noob. But i want to do stuff to my new 2010 Acura Tl 3.7 really badly. I already got it tinted(35 all around), but i want to do more. Ive been looking at the front and rear spoilers and side skirts. I think thats first. But i also want to learn about the front grill being black and tints on the lights. If anyone is down to help the new guy that would be great. All suggestions or ideas are welcome

Nice! From personal experience, very hard color to maintain but so worth it after a good wash/wax!

Body kits make the car slower, spend your money under the hood or on the suspension.
A new, lightweight set of wheels and HP tires is a good place to start. They (can) improve the look and make the car stick to the road.

I'd rather look good then go fast in a 2-ton car. I'd would do the spoiler lip kit for the 09-11 without thinking.

As for painting the grill, you got to shop around your local body and paint shops. Or you can send it to Nexson and have him do it right the first time around. And tinting your tail lights, check tints shops would be a start. Or buy tint of your choice off sites like Lamin-X, then take it to tint shops and have them do it.

Yes, body kits make the car SLOWER. No one cares because no one is going to track their 4G TL.

But ask yourself these questions:

Does it make the car faster?

Does it make the car corner better?

Does it make the car stop faster?

Does it make the car safer?

Does it look F'ing cool without much compromise? YES! You want that aero kit (09-11 definitely has the best aero kit), now go get it buddy! (Don't forget to post pics).

If you want to blow a $1,000 on a peice of plastic and some glue, that is up to you.

Enjoy your Camry

Welcome. As far as grille modification goes, I wrote a DIY on removing the grille
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-2009-2014-123/diy-tl-grille-removal-895579/

Nexson did a really good write up on prepping and painting the front grille
https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-photograph-gallery-296/how-properly-paint-12-tl-grille-pictures-write-up-859202/

I personally just bought some Oracle High Gloss Black vinyl wrap and wrapped my grille, it's a cheap alternative to painting, but eventually I will have mine painted.

I'm new, just got a 2010 3.7, and I need help-image.jpg

Good luck whichever way you go

Welcome Chris and congrats on your new ride.

Your mods---if you want your car to look better, do the aesthetic mods.

If you're a guy who likes a faster ride, Marco has some good suggestions.

I bought car certified and didn't realize it had aero kit. It looks awesome with the full aero kit. The TL really needs the trunk lip spoiler. It looks weird without it. It's a balance of looking fast and looking cool. Hope it helps...

Zapco, you haven't been here long enough to know that Mr. Marco has an edge to him. You don't need to take comments that hard.....

First off, congrats on making the car look great!
Secondly, if you ever need parts or service for the car - just let me know. I see you're in Fairfax which is my hood as well.

Eh-um, perhaps you should have started a new thread. But I will go easy on you and simply give you crap for dropping it too far. Otherwise, it does look pretty damned nice. Be sure and save some money for rear tires...

The kit looks good. The only thing I'm going to criticize is the 8k HIDs. You're basically ruining light output for purple color! Put it back to stock or get the Philips X-tremeVision/Osram CBI!

Looks dope! Only thing I would do is black out the headlights and tail lights. Really adds a lot! Guarantee you'll love it.

Looks good man. Nice to see another VA TL on here. Also we share same trim, not sure if yours is 6MT or not tho. I have been looking into doing some mods to my TL finally now that I have decided to keep it for a little while longer.
