I don't need multiple cars. The 4G TL SH-AWD is the best overall car I've experienced yet, so I want to have multiple. A friend will be using the black one for a prolonged period of time, as his car's engine developed a rod knock a couple of months ago. I've been searching on a daily basis for the right candidate, and this 2013 white one was it. 1 owner, clean Carfax.

I just arrived home with another car. No, it's not yet another 4G TL. I'll have some pictures in the coming days, as I have a lot of tasks that need to be taken care of. Now, I need to sell one of the TL's...

It's a car that I have mentioned in the past, and it's a different platform altogether. I settled all of the paperwork today, and the car is now officially mine, and ready to be enjoyed. I went for a cruise earlier, and it exceeds expectations. I promise that I will take adequate pictures and also write a more in depth review, just as I have done so with the previous cars.
I have decided that I need to sell the 6MT... I wish that I had a barn to house 10+ cars, alongside a couple of lifts.
The 6MT 6th gear is too short for long distance travel at high speeds, with a ~500 RPM difference compared to the 6AT. It's meant to be a sports car with its gearing. Now, I have the IS-F for that duty. It's difficult to give attention to every single car that I have.
Alright, it's time for the review, now that I've driven almost a thousand miles. This car is fucking spectacular. I'm fortunate to be experiencing the IS-F as my first RWD car.
Power:
This is the most powerful vehicle that I've had yet. It pulls well, and feels superb. I've monitored the engine today through my ScanGauge 3, and it's performing flawlessly. I don't really have any spots that I deem safe to do high speed pulls, so the fastest I've driven is to 100 MPH. It moves quickly to 100 MPH, and it's euphoric. The induction sound is eargasmic once the second intake valve opens up. It's satisfying to drive conservatively, spiritedly, and also hooningly.
Brakes:
These are the best performing brakes that I've experienced yet. Stopping power is unrivaled compared to the previous cars. Pedal feel is confidence inspiring. I enjoy braking late. Brake dust is quite atrocious, though.
Handling:
This is probably the most enticing aspect of this car. I fucking love taking hard turns. This car has defied the limits that the previous cars held. The chassis is super stable and planted during cornering. I feel as one with the car. The seats are exceptional for my frame right now. I haven't had any problems with traction yet, and I will continue to push the limits because it's truly fascinating. The tires are also fantastic, and they are Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus.
Transmission:
While warming up, and driving civilized, the transmission is comfortable and composed in normal mode. By turning on Sport mode after the car has come to operating temperature, all aspects liven up. However, the true magic occurs while in Sport-M mode, where you have full control over the gears. Raw, savage, bestial, and ruthless are some words to describe the exhilarating feeling I attain when actually enjoying the car at its peak potential.
Aesthetics:
One sad aspect is that I don't get to witness the exterior of the car when I'm driving it. I actually like how it looks quite a bit. It has presence.
So, what is it that I don't like about the car? Well, it doesn't fucking matter. The overall experience is euphoric and trumps any negative aspects. What a sensational vehicle. I don't value it at the MSRP that it had. However, the price that I paid for it, well, I already received my perceived value out of it already in the first thousand miles.
I'm in love. I don't want the honeymoon phase to ever end.

i agree with you on the 4G tl being the best overall vehicle. I sold my '09 SH and bought BROlando's black 6mt. The 6MT totally transforms this car!

Wow, congrats! I'm sure that you are just as ecstatic as I was when I obtained my 6MT, then. It's the smoothest and most satisfying manual transmission that I have experienced up to this point. I trust that you will cherish it.
I was torn between a TSX wagon and a ZDX for my next acquisition. I've decided that it has to be a ZDX. I'm going to sell the 6MT and purchase a ZDX. I'd love for one that has the Sumatra interior, however, that seems unlikely.
After some research, I will be purchasing EBC Yellowstuff brake pads. I want better stopping performance, and will be changing out my pads to this model during my next maintenance service, in addition to a list of other tasks. My average MPG in this 2013 SH-AWD is 25.6, even with the WOT's and spirited driving. That's 3 different SH-AWD's in total with superb overall fuel economy. So, I firmly believe the individuals who result 14-20 MPG are literally driving like they stole the car, at all times.
For comparison, my average MPG is 23.9 in the ISF after 2.2k miles.

Yeah go for the ZDX as when I had it, it was quite the head turner with how unique it looked. Definitely miss the ZDX but we had to let it go when we found out there would be another addition to the family.
Yesterday, I embarked on a thrilling adventure and had an extraordinary driving experience. I drove to Ohio's equivalence of "The Tail of the Dragon." It was about a three hour drive south from Cleveland. The roads of interest were primarily on Route-78 by Glouster, OH. For this excursion, I took the 2013 SH-AWD, and I'm glad that I chose to. It further emphasized just how perfect the SH-AWD is as an overall daily driver. I've embarked on multiple trips with my SH-AWD's, so I already knew that comfort was a staple on the highway. With the types of roads that are near me in Cleveland, I have pushed the car to its limits, and knew it was a very capable machine. However, the roads on Route-78 were different than what one normally drives on in Cleveland. Those tight turns, and long sweeps, from Route-78, were exquisite, especially since the speed limit was 55 MPH. I was in Sport mode for majority of those 100 miles! Fuck fuel economy! My appreciation for the SH-AWD has reached a new height after that experience. The feeling of euphoria during hard turns due to the SH-AWD system masking the TL's ~4,000 curb weight is sensational. Hard acceleration, hard braking, intense elevation changes, and grip at its limit is sublime. It's quite remarkable at just how adept the SH-AWD can be, regardless of the situation. If a car that's more proficient overall exists, I have yet to find it.
I've been looking at used prices for:
1) 2018 TLX A-Spec ~$20,000
2) 2021 TLX A-Spec ~$30,000
I don't believe the 2018 provides twice the value of my 2013 to warrant double the price.
I don't believe the 2021 provides three times the value of my 2013 to warrant triple the price.
I want to believe that a 2021 TLX Type-S -might- be worth it at $30,000, however, I haven't driven one yet, nor have I seen one for under $45,000.
So then, it's settled. My next car is confirmed to be a ZDX. I would be ecstatic if I can find one with a Sumatra interior, at that.

The color combination is not desirable, however, I can't be picky if I want to find deals that are in my favor. It needs some attention, which will be addressed soon. No pictures as of yet.
I also replaced all of the fluids and filters on the 2013 white SH-AWD, and it's now as close to new as it will ever be. This car is sorted and perfect in its current, and final, iteration .

The ZDX is the reigning champion.
This thread might make me seem like a Honda/Acura fanboy with my most recent acquisitions, however, I am not. I am a die hard car enthusiast, and it just so happens that I've had the opportunity to experience the vehicles that I lusted for from a decade ago.
August - I purchased the ZDX.
September - I sold the 6MT TL.
October - I sold the STi.
I've been enjoying the ZDX to its full potential. The 4G TL and the ZDX are the perfect overall daily drivers, and I'm fortunate to own and experience both of them simultaneously.
Everything that I stated that would occur in this thread has come to fruition. I haven't yet decided what events come next.
you are going through "car swap" like many of us did... problem is when you sell one of the favorite one with huge regret! I was lucky to buy my TL 6MT back!
I have decided on the next car. Unless a superb deal on an Infiniti G37 IPL lands in my lap, the next vehicle will be a 2006-2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
The BRZ/FR-S, although lightweight, is underpowered for me, especially at the price point. The G37 IPL has the recipe for a driver's car, although somewhat heavy. The IS F is better suited than the IPL, however, it doesn't have an LSD. Then, comes the Aston Martin V8 Vantage... It's the most optimal formula, especially having a front-mid engine.

On top of the optimal specifications, I believe it has the most timeless aesthetic, and it's the most beautiful car I've ever laid eyes on. It's prestigious, exotic, eargasmic sounding, and even reliable from what I've read on forums.
I don't know that I'd ever use "reliable" in the same sentence as "British car," but I too lust after the Astons. They are probably, IMO, the most beautifully styled cars available, with a timeless motif. Good luck in your search.
I would also love a Vantage of that, uh, vintage. But as said above, "reliable" and "British" are two things that aren't usually uttered in the same sentence! I am astounded every time I see a nice clean one go for ~$30k on the auction sites and think there's got to be a very good reason why they are so cheap (just like similar year Jag XKs, also stunning with those aluminium bodies). I got to take a '13 XKR-S GT for a rip back when they were new and that thing blew me away. What a noise it makes!
But since you've got a fleet of reliable Japanese vehicles already, why the hell not. Get the AM!
