Is this how your TL SH-AWD Works?

I was watching this Acura 2012 TL interactive site and notice how when accelerating, power seems to be applied more to the rear wheels. On my MDX I notice the oposite.

Yes, that's how it works. I stare at it all the time on my MID and when I step on the gas, almost all the power is applied to the rear wheels.

I think a maximum of 70% of the power can be applied to the rear wheels, and up to 100% of that can be applied to either rear wheel if you're turning.

To get the extremes in their interactive demo ususally require a heavy foot, not to the extreme, but the car is cleary biased FWD, I found it took a bit of a push to get the rear indicators to really swing far to a specific wheel, but it was sure fun doing it!!

Just gasing more deson't necessarily mean it will transfer to the rear, it usually requires more abrupt acceleration and in the lower gears. I believe the MDX only has 50% rear transfer abilities for cornering and normal driving (70% for hill climbing) so it wouldn't be exactly like the TL.

This has been my observations as well with our cars. S mode will almost guarantee more transfer to the rears more often...

True, but going around curves at normal acceleraton does not shift much to rear or etiher rear wheel, but get into the throttle in a turn and you'll see it move.

I took a closer look while going to lunch, I noticed that when taking off the MDX was showing about 50% rear, if accelerating while moving, than it's mostly FWD.
