How to gain volume on stock ELS sound system

I only want it to be a little louder. No need for booming bass. Just need to be louder overall.

Try turning off the ALS (Auto Leveling System). The piece the changes the volume depending on how noisy the cabin is.

You might have to do a little searching but there's a well documented amp upgrade on here somewhere that would probably be exactly what you are looking for.

there’s a guy on the 4gen Facebook group that does the amp upgrade. I think heeltoe has this service too

I swapped my speakers still using the factory amp to power them sound is clear and louder than i would ever need it while im the car. I do blast my music at max everyday though. You most likely want clearer mids and highs your gunna wanna look into swapping your tweeters and center channel speakers and see if your happy with it then do the door speakers from there imo its easier to do those than to swap the factory amp.
