You can search this. there are a lot of threads that compares SH-AWD to previous 3G TL and 3G TL Type-s.
to answer your question,
It is much more fun to drive than 3G TL Type-S.
There is no torgue steer. Even if car is not low compared other competitions, ( stock to stock) SH-AWD handling is amazing especially in cornering.
The only thing I don't like is, there is only pedal shifter to control gears.

i have a 3G with a 6MT. love my car.
drove a SHAWD loaner in AT...fun car to drive and handling is phenomenal as expected with an AWD system (i also have an MDX...SHAWD is awesome).
the perfect car....4G SHAWD, 6MT, under the 3G skin. THAT would be a beast.

Doesn't the "Vanos/Double-Vanos" on the BMW kick in the same way as the Honda VTEC ?

Hey you can always import it over to Germany and you will be quite possibly the only German with a 4G. That would be pretty cool.

Back in the day the Vtec cam timing shift would be like "getting on the cam" with a long duration high lift camshaft.
Closest thing we had back then to Vanos/Vtec were spring loaded timing gear sprockets that would advance the cam as the RPM came up.

There were some G3's there with military owners. One guy did a 155mph Autobahn vid. Very interesting one hand on the wheel the other on the camera.

Yes this is possible but that very expensive! I paid the same what you paid in Dollar in Euro and then the shipping! And then must a company who called TÜV looking at the 4G! Acura

This is exactly what the BMW salesman convinced me of on a test drive of the 2013 335xi.
First he showed me the acceleration, which was very impressive. I wasn't so pleased that he doubled the speed limit on a city street though.
But then he took us around a sweeping turn with his foot to the floor to show the "control" of the car, i.e. the incredibly boring traction control system that controls it.
I took the AWD TL on the same turn, gave it some gas and out comes the tail, even with traction control on.

The main purpose of the VSA is to interact with the brakes to safeguard the car from going understeering and from going oversteering, with which both are deemed to be unsafe for the majority of average drivers.
According to the info inside the Acura website, the VSA system is :
"A safety feature that helps detect and avoid understeer or oversteer by continually monitoring vehicle speed, throttle position, individual wheel speeds, steering angle, lateral g-force, and yaw rate. It then uses the ABS and/or Drive-by-Wire Throttle system to help stabilize the vehicle."
If the car still oversteers with the VSA on, this means there's something wrong with the car or the system or both.

The VSA system is still absolutely in control, I'm not talking about a drift. I'm just stating that the TL will let you find the limit with the throttle in a stable turn and the BMW would not.
If you lift the throttle it pulls everything back into line immediately, if you keep driving smoothly the car just levels out without a noticeable intervention.

I know what you meant here, but I think what the other guy meant was that near the end of the turn if you gun it the car chirps a bit and regrips before burning it up. It's like the SHAWD readjusts then launches feeling...
I drove a Nissan GTR which did the same thing on the track. I was pleased when I could use my TL SHAWD skills with that car. =)
