How Did I do?
I had my eye on the TL for a while now and had contact with couple dealers online, but this weekend I finally went into a dealership, test drove one and then drove one home 3 hours after.. I think I made a good deal, but did I really?
2010 TL, Automatic, SH-AWD with Tech Package.

Destination: 810

I drove the car on snow this past weekend and loved how it handles, but the body got very dirty. I am thinking if I should have the Mud Guard added. Is the Mud Guard worth it?

I got a similar car (see my sig) with the full under-body kit and all-season mats for only $400 more. You got a good deal considering the amount of time you spent at the dealer though--I literally had been negotiating and busting stones for months.

Yes, I think you did well.
On 11/20/2009 I paid $39,000 flat for my car (in signature below), including destination.
However, there was a $385 documentation fee added to the paperwork. :-)
So we got about the same deal.
Then I went back and added a 125,000 mile warranty.
Then I went back and added the factory front spoiler and splash guards.
LOL....
But if you eliminate the options I went back and added, we paid about the same thing.

I visited acura.ca to get some information that wasn't available at acura.com, and I was surprised that the vehicle I bought would've cost that much in Canada.

I am in Mass. I got an price quote in email from a Dealer and made an appointment to see the car with them in the afternoon. But, I stopped by a different dealership in the morning, which seem to not want me to leave without a car.
Negotiation was fast and easy. Their first quote is MSP of around 43,000 with 1000 discount. I said my other offer is way lower than this and I have an appointment with the other dealer to see the car. My sales guy said every dealer has the same cost for the car, so whatever price the other dealership is offering, they can sell at the same price and asked me how easy do I want the negotiation to be. I want it easy so I gave him the other offer which is 38,500 + destination and fees. He went to his manager, came back about 10 minutes and asking if I have the offer in writing, which I handed him my printed email. Came back few minutes later saying they will match the offer. At this point I was happy, but since I am going to shop in the area of the other dealership, I still wanted to visit the other dealer. My Sales guy, didn’t want that of course and went to his manager again. He came back with another 500 off the car, beating the other dealer’s offer. So I signed. From test drive to negotiation and to getting the car only took me about 3 hours.
Car is white with Taupe Leather interior.
