I'm now a proud owner of a 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD.

Gotta say I love this car and have always liked the styling.

Test drove multiple sport sedans and coupes before buying this car and I have go to say I love the ELS sound system and how comfortable the seats are. Also got a Lojack anti theft system installed.

I bought it used with 60k on it. Came with a rock clear guard on the front which was nice.

In coming mods:
Big break kit (To be determined which)
Tints all around

In the next couple of months:
Cold air intake
Lowering

 

Best color combo, I have CBP w/ umber and wish I had that!

 

Yeah the white / umber was what sold me on the car in the first place, just makes the car look that more classy.

I got a lot of reading to do because I want some upgrades already haha including HID fogs.

Is it really that rare? I know I had a hard time searching for more with the same color combo to try and get a better deal.

 

I think it is, especially in the American market. CBP/umber is probably the most common, then Grigio/umber, then Bellanova/umber, then WDP/umber and lastly Mayan/umber. In the US market white w/ umber stopped being available after the 11' model, it continued in Canada with the 12' (dunno if the 13/14 too) and currently in the US only CBP exterior has umber interior option.

Yes, as HeartTL mentioned... I was not able to find one in US available for sale back 1.5 years. While looking nationwide, I found Mayan Bronze/Umber nearby, fell in love when I saw it in person, no regrets still (never had dark color cars before)

 

Hey just bought black/umber 2010 TL with Tech and SH-AWD, guess we would be in a similar boat. I my main mods would be HID fog lights and tints coming soon. After that i am trying to paint the grill, or front portion were the acura sign is. Rims lastly tho.

 

Yeah I'm having 3M Tints done to my car the weekend after I pick it up then order a fog hid kit, dunno if I want bright yellow hid's or 8000k.

Right now I'm busy looking up brake upgrades.. was particularly interested in Brembos but can't find them anywhere... not just rotors but the whole kit.

 

I honestly like the color but as soon as I saw mine in person I fell in love lol.

If I didn't get this color I probably would've got the same color as yours with the umber interior.

 

Jason how's the color match on the metal panels compared to the bumpers? That is another weak point regarding Acura paint, whites never match. On some white Acura there are 3 shades of white on the same vehicle between the bumpers, metal panels and spoiler kits.

 

From what I could see the car was perfectly fine when I came to see it. It went through the shop and I did a full walk around of the car and looked under the body and looked at all the fluids the car was mint. Other then it needing the calipers painted because of rust on the rears (paint was worn off) the brakes were also perfect.

I've seen some of the issues on the forums about Acura paint but if this car had a issue the past owner would have gotten it taken care of he took really good care of this car. Even got a factory clear rock chip protecter on the front and you can't even tell it's there.
