There are 5 setting for the Headlight Auto Light Sensitivity and even though I set it to max, the lights don't seem to turn up on cloudy days. They do come on when it starts to get dark but the whole point of these 5 settings is to customize when they should come on. So far even with the sensitivity set to "Max", my lights don't come on till it starts to get dark. Anyone else experience this? I need them to come on earlier depending on weather especially when it's about to rain.

 

I recall only seeing 3 setting for sensitivity. I have it on High and it comes out pretty quickly when its cloudy and in the mornings. It comes on even quite often and turns off when necessary.

Remember there is still Daytime running lights when the HID headlights are off so you still have light projected foward.

 

I guess the only option is to turn it on manually or use a black tape to cover the light sensor

 

That's what you have to deal with if you leave it up to the computer to decide when to turn the headlights on. It'll turn them on when required, but fail for those moments where you feel that it's safer to have them on.
