Getting ready to buy/'09 vs '10 TL

I've owned 2 3G TLs. I had an '05 and I currently drive an '07 with Nav. Been contemplating buying a 4G TL for a couple of months now and have finally narrowed it down to 2 specific vehicles. First one is a 2010 TL SH-awd Tech with 6k miles on it. The second is a 2009 TL SH-awd Tech with 17k miles on it. They are both silver with taupe interior.

The price difference is ~ $3.5k. I am inclined to go with the '09 to save the money since they're practically the same car. However, I'm a little unsettled about buying the '09 because it was the first year model for the 4G TL. Any owners of either year model that could share why I should or shouldn't buy one over the other? Does it just come down to my personal preference or is there something about the '09 that should cause me to avoid buying it?

I also comtemplated purchasing a 2010 TSX V6 but kept being drawn back to the TL. A little nervous about the TL's ride quality as I've read things stating it's a bit harsh. Any former 3G owners have any issues with the ride of the SH-awd? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

I think there was a rusty rotors (I think) issue on the 09s which was fixed on the '10 models. I'm not aware of anything else....

I think you answered your own question. As mentioned above, the rusty rotors were an issue for the 09's. I NEVER buy the first year of a new model automobile. I waited for the 2010 model and am very satified with the car and have had no issues at all.
I like the 2010 TSX (V6),but living in the Northeast the AWD is what I was looking for when shopping for a new car. It's a tank in the snow with winter tires a plus+.

Ya im not aware of any problems for specifically 09's.

The difference could also only be a couple of months depending on the production date.

The 09's have the rear passenger door slightly sticking out a little. I had no idea until Blackura mentioned it.

What do you mean sticking out a little? Just the passenger door? Never heard of this either?

I have a 2009 SH-AWD and have had no problems. I would reccommend going with the 09 to save money. U cant tell the difference between 09-10.

well I would go with the 2010. You get 11k miles less on the odometer, an extra year of warranty, better resale value (car price depreciate by year), 2nd year model, all of this for $3500. If you finance $3500 for 60 months it's like an extra $60 on the car payment, not so bad IMO...
