I do a lot of anthracite color-matched 3G TL headlights and they look really good, your TL is almost the same color so I think we ought to consider that option

A little weekend fun...

There are many good reasons to live in Boston. One very important reason:

Friday night after work, I started the process.....

Drove them up to JnC - He worked his magic and I picked them today (Saturday). The pictures don't do them justice. They look amazing.

Too late & Cold to install them tonight. Going to get everything put back together tomorrow, give the car a quick cleaning, and take more pics.

Put a bunch more photos with some before and after's here.

JnC - Fantastic work.

Now i just need to find the right bulbs/leds to swap the side markers, should have figured that out before I put the headlights back in....but whatever, not to difficult to go in via the wheel well.

I think that's what everyone did here... unless you mean blacked out, leaving the amber piece in? That would be interesting to see. I'd bet it would still look pretty good.

It'd look pretty good, I can either leave the reflector behind the diffusers chrome, paint it partially i.e just the non-functional area or I can completely paint them with very high gloss black paint (high gloss paint will ensure reflectivity yet give the diffuser a smoked out look).

Here is something close to what you are thinking on a 3G TL, reflector behind the diffuser (chrome piece) is painted partially black).

Special offer!!

Just picked up a set of used 4G TL headlights so I can offer you guys the option of core exchange. Most of the 4G headlights that I have worked with so far have been off of cars with only a few thousand miles on them hence the headlights are usually in pristine condition.

Headlights that I received through my vendor seem to have some road chips on the front lens, towards the inside corners, all tabs are intact and the lights otherwise are in great shape.

Here is my special offer

Choose the core exchange program and I'll work on the headlights that I have and ship them out to you.
Once you install the new lights you'll send your OEM ones back to me.
To compensate for the blemishes on the lenses I'll take off $100 from your total and also waive the $25 core exchange option charge. So, that's a total saving of $125. This offer may suggest that the headlights are badly damaged but that's not the case as you can see from pictures.

I am only offering this as I wouldnt want any one feel that the condition of the headlights wasnt properly disclosed to them before they received them, wear and tear of this sort is normal with most of the 3G headlights I work with through my core exchange program reason being that the lights are old, any where from 1~7 years.

For example:

If you opt to get the lights blacked out V2 with TSX-R lens swap and custom cut off shields your end cost will only be $75 rather than $200 ($175 for labor and $25 for core exchange).

Here are detailed pictures of the actual headlights.

damn, i wished I was back home before somebody took you up on this offer. I know that all I'd have to do is a little headlight repairing and they'd be good as new with $125 still in my pockets!

I hope nobody takes you up on this until may, haha.

Sorry, forgot to mention it, yes it is PMM. Internals were painted through a body shop rather than through paintscratch.com materials.

Just had to post this. The TSX-R lens swap is so good, and makes such a difference that even my wife could notice (when it comes to car stuff she doesn't really notice differences in color let alone light output).

I was following my wife home from an event, she was in front of me in her Civic. At one point due to traffic I got many cars behind her (it was at night). When we got home she said that my lights were so bright, she never lost me in the traffic, she could always see where I was at. LOL. So if anyone is on the fence about if it's worth it... do it! The light output increase by a large enough amount for a non-car person to notice!

JnC - amazing work as always. Hope we can see pics installed.
