FYI - Battery Replacement
When I first got my TL, I was able to get a battery replacement for free under the 4 year warranty period and II have pushed my stock Acura battery for about 5 years (60000 km's) with mainly city driving. Luckily, the battery failed on my driveway and after looking at these forums I knew that a failed battery was inevitable....
a. I have Tech version so nothing worked. i.e. doors, gas and trunk release but interestingly, the alarm still blinked. I had to use the key to open the drivers side door.
b. It's pretty easy (it was my 2nd time changing a battery but the first time on my TL) and there are a bunch of DIY videos on the inter-web.
c. I unplugged the battery and replaced it with this one.
d. My concern was the size as the TL battery is 24F and the battery above was a 34F. The 34F battery includes a spacer to make the size match perfectly.
d. Once the car was restarted, it remembered all the primary settings. Driver 2 would need to be re-set.
e. Be prepared for the radio code, Once you reset the car, the Navigation Screen to ask you to enter it using our 1-6 preset buttons.
I have considered a battery tender to keep the settings but in the end, it wasn't that much of a big deal. The next then I need to do it test with volt meter if there is an issue with alternator......

Are you still able to put the "battery port" portion of the shroud on? When my battery went, I needed to get a replacement right away, and the only place open was Walmart. The battery I got there works beautifully, but I can put the battery cover back on.

Good to know; that MotoMaster Eliminator AGM is a great battery. I got one for my wife's Pilot some time ago, and it performs like a champ. If and when my Walmart battery goes, that's likely what I'll be buying.

I am still on the Original battery ( lucky, I guess ) and hook up a Battery Tender during Winter storage. Lately, I have been thinking of a replacement since they seem to go out suddenly, good info !!

It was sudden alright. I drove all the way to Stouffeville (Doors Open) and back for this event.

In the late afternoon, I tried to drive the car and the battery was dead. There was no warning at all....

The Acura batteries are stupid. I have an exact thread about this issue. Two bought-new Acuras with 4 crappy dead OEM batteries within 5 years. The last (and current) ones I bought are from Costco for $90.
What's even more stupid is their warranty policy. If a battery is replaced under warranty, there is NO warranty on the battery after the factory warranty runs out. So it's replaced on the last day of the 4 year factory warranty and it dies the next day, you are out of luck.
Basically their 100-month warranty is only valid when you buy your battery.

Yep my battery went bad after 28 months - so I went with the monster Odyssey Extreme 34R-PC1500T with a spacer. Deep cycle extra protection for the car cam. 1500/1250 850CCA

Damn and I thought i was the only one. I had to almost weekly charge my OEM battery. Went with Optima Yellowtop due to extra electrical draw from my dash cam. Now I charge the battery every... 6-7 months due to the camera and me not driving often.

I have not connected a dash cam on my car. Is there a way to connect the CAM without drawing power unless you are driving it? I don't think I would want the 'feature' to record things when I am not there i.e. getting bumped in a parking lot.
