Fuel Injector - Throttle Body Cleaning - At Dealership
Yay or nay?
worth it or not? thanks!! |
No and no.
Edit: just pick up a bottle of Techron and CRC throttle body cleaner at your local parts store. Then go to the packie and spend some of what you saved on a six pack. |

I had an insufficient flow code in my 2000 TL. I finally figured out how to clean it. You pour seafoam down the opening at top of plenum, let it sit. Then take off egr valve, cover area/exhaust opening on egr base, then pour very hot water down the same opening. Gunk came like crazy. Few more treatments....clear liquid. I'm afraid to do this on the 2012. No torque wrench....afraid of snapping plenum bolts again. Yikes!!!! |
