Front lights between FWD and AWD

Does anyone else notice that the front end of the FWD has an extra set of lights next to the turn signal? Does anyone know why they would put that there? I think that the AWD without the extra lights look much better. Is there any way to buy the black part to replace the lights?

I think they just did that to differentiate between the AWD and the FWD. The AWD does look a lot better and i've been thinking about switching them to the AWD. I just haven't had time to do it.

According to the graph you just need part number 003. Don't hold me to that though...

The AWD has air vents that direct the air flow to the brakes for cooling.
