Floormat Options

Floormat Options
I'm looking to replace the flimsy factory floormats in my '11 TL. I'm thinking either Weathertech or Aries Styleguard. Are there other vehicle-specific mats on the market I should consider?

Huge fan of Weathertech, hands down all i buy and worth every penny. Customer support is great, they came out with an upgrade to the Acura TL floormats to now lock in and they sent me the new ones free of charge and even let me keep the old ones (which i gave for free to a new acruazine member)

I bought the 3D MAXpider and really like it. It's well made and looks like it belongs in the car. My brother has weathertechs in his car. It looks pretty sturdy but it looked out of place.

Burning Brakes
Costco sold them for a while.
I have the OEM, but honestly, if I was doing it again, I'd likely go WeatherTech. They seem to provide greater coverage than the OEM. If you live somewhere that gets snow, the OEM won't keep melt-water contained, or the floor underneath dry.

I had a bad experience with WeatherTech for another car - driver's floor mat - moves all over - and WeatherTech did nothing for me

Only reason I have OEM All Weather Mats is because the dealer gave them to me as part of the CPO. Otherwise, I would've gone WeatherTech. But having the OEM All Weather Mats now, I have no complaints.

The Original Shawdy
Only downside I see of Weathertech's is there badge always comes off over time.

Friend ordered some Autopreme mats for his 3-series, they look pretty awesome online but waiting to see how they are in person:

I have the 3D Maxspider mat for my MDX in the rear trunk area. Much better than OEM and I even liked it better than the Weathertech options. I had Weathertechs in my old TL-S, very nice but expensive.

Does it matter if you have FWD or AWD? I was about to pull the trigger on Amazon until one reviewer said the passenger side didn't fit his AWD model...

Guess you were the one that asked the question on Amazon. Got a email about that too. Haha. Sorry but I'm not sure but seems like csmenace answered that.

Weathertech work and look great in my 4G TL. They really keep all of the water/salt in and are easy to clean.
However, in my 3G TL, the driver side weathertech panel had sides that are too high and it kept getting caught by the edge of the seat. It was pain in the ass, I had to grind it down to fit under the seat.

Weathertech all the way. My annoying passengers loved to drag their feet around the floor or something, so now I have perma-creased rear carpet floormats. The back Weathertech piece that goes over the middle hump fixes that problem pretty nicely.
