Congratulations on the purchase! I hope to be getting mine in march next year, I can't wait!

P.S. why does one get a clear bra installed on the rear of the car?

Prevent scratches around the trunk and bumper area. If you saw my old civic trunk or the trunk area of my gf Mazda3, you would understand... lol...

What? How did you get scratches back there? If you back up and hit something, will a clear bra protect solid contact like that? I figured it would only be sufficient to protect (small) road debris from chipping paint if it hit your car at like 70mph.

Sorry, I meant, scratches due to putting and removing stuff in the trunk, that's it. My bad...

They have been out since late to mid August. You generally dont see lots of advertising for the 2010 models because they are trying to get rid of the 09's.

All of acura's advertising in my area has been for huge rebates and clearing out 09's as they are having a very tough time selling them here.

What is odd is that the huge rebates end here on September 30th and dealers still cant believe they are having trouble clearing them all out. ($8500 off of MDX, $3500 off TL's, $10000 of RL's etc )

Sorry, im from Canada where you can pay over $50K for a TL and over $70 for an RL. (this IMO is probably why they are having a tough time moving them) and probably why they have such high rebates.

Whats really odd though is that the MDX is a big seller in Canada and for them to still offer $8500 off really makes you wonder if Acura Canada is really struggling.

Sorry OP as we didnt mean to hijack your thread.

Congrats on the purchase and what color combo do you have. You will have to post some pics with the RJ grill as im curious to see how it looks, especially in different car color combos.

Where did you see $8500 off MDX?

On Edmunds, I can only see $2000 cash dealer incentive.

If there really is $8500 off the Xs, I may get one...

Its on Acura.ca

If you are in Washington state it may be worth it to drive to Vancouver, BC (with the dollar difference and rebates). The deal ends September 30th though and even with the rebates im not sure if it would be that much difference than US prices.....We get raped up here when it comes to vehicle prices.
