It's amazing how in touch with the consumer base RJ is. Although I have no problem with the 'beak' on my 4 this takes it to a new level. Also, I just stumbled upon the new wheels on the site and im even more blown away!

Thanks Ryan and 4G Express, I know with the right color scheme and photography, the tue potential of this grille can be appreciated. And those wheels, wait till they are on the cars, you and I will both be blown away!!

Here's a teaser and a link or those wondering about the wheels:

Must say I'm very impressed and it's coming from someone who usually hate aftermarket grilles...

Very nice work Ron!

Ron, I think you mentioned something about possibly extending the group by. Now that there are pics available, more people might want to jump in. I want to get one, but I'm waiting on pricing for a pre painted (grigio metallic) grille.

Maybe it would look better if the whole thing is silver?

So as Ron, you mention before the middle bar of the grille can put it on or take it down of our own choice, can you describe to us how to do that?

Yeah, that emblem looks real good in there, but the problem is that we can't make the grille come with the emblem for reasons Acura won't let us. However, the emblem can be installed right over the mesh without a problem. Getting the Horizointal split bar to work with the mesh might require some creative thinking. but I don't see how it can't be possible. A dremel and skill would probably work fine.

On a side note, this is the classic style we all knew Acura should have stuck with, kinda makes me think of the previous gen TSX and TL.

Indeed! If they would have done something like this, most criticism about the styling wouldn't even exist and the TL would be more attractive to a lot of ppl. Why didn't Acura hired you in the first place?

With the emblem, it's truly awesome!

If they would have done something like that, Rondog and other aftermarket company then won't have a chance to take money from us.haha~j/k

I will post some pics after I get the mesh painted black. The mesh was painted silver like the bars by mistake, and I want to make sure my posted pics are doing the grille the justice it so deserves.

I am amazed!! the emblem looks beautiful in the middle~
where can i get the right emblem that will fit? Do I just click it in?
Also I noticed that all the split bars come in silver. Do you think that it will look better if the split bar is also painted white to match the grill? (I have WDP) Thanks!

The possibilities are endless. I am putting together some edits that show the variations of different color combos.

Gonna try to get the production team to make a seat for the OEM emblem and two symetrical seats on either side of the bar, with a custom built emblem to go on one side, it'll fit right in since I'm making the emblem to the exact size of the seat on the bar. it's gonna make the whole thing so refined. Also, I found some mesh that comes in dark grey plastic, no paint required. I just hope the molds can be modified to accept the new seat in the middle.

It looks much better with the emblem. Without the emblem, something looks missing.

Agree......looks 10X better with the emblem. I wonder how much more it will cost with the emblem option? (The price is already getting up there).

Same cost, but it's a matter of not being able to go back to the look with just the bar's going across the middle without the "A" symbol (unless you wanted to put something of the same shape and size in there). I just have to confirm whether the production team can alter the molds at this pooint, or whether I will have to dish out more moola to redo the mold for the bar to accommodate the A symbol. Then this will also put a slight delay on things. But in the end, I think it will be worth it. I mean, we waited this long.

Go for it Ron, I think the emblem is worth it. To me, the grill looks "cheap" without it.

Agreed. The Acura emblem makes the concept. Just a hint of 3g styling for some model heritage.

Makes me feel that Acura should fire whoever designed the 4g grille, now more than ever.

Yeah I am going to use a nice camera from work tommorow and try to get a few different pics. My mesh on my grille is silver and I am going to change it to black or dark grey, but it doesnt look bad. In fact on Friday I had to valet my car downtown, and the guy who took it was a 3G owner, and commented on how he was going to go look at 4G this week bc the grille fixes all his issues with the car.

Hey Ron Dog.........I thought that the original grille was leaps and bounds above the OEM grille IMHO. However, after seeing it with the A symbol, I have to have it that way to make the purchase. Makes it look authentic and original. Thanks for your continued commitment to excellence.
