Few Questions about Sport/Manual mode in 5MT
Hey y'all
So recently I've been out a lot more, driving the car around and whatnot and I've noticed it feels a bit lurch-y in manual mode. I've never really driven a manual before and I was wondering if this had something to do with going too fast and then downshifting? What are the correct rpm/speed ranges to be in? Is it possible to rev-match in these cars? Thanks!

The lurching you're feeling is when the engine is going between engine braking and acceleration. It feels different that driving in D because of the higher rpms create more powerful engine braking, and when you come to a stop it doesn't stay in a high gear and ride the torque converter. You'll notice there's a point on the throttle where it's smooth, no acceleration or engine braking. I drive in sport mode a lot just to keep the car out of 6th gear on the 50mph roads... Thing be shifting and running at 1200rpm all day if not
