Fair Deal?

Hey Gents,

New to the forum and second Acura TL. Just want to check my recent deal with the forum experts regarind the purchase of my new 2012 SH-AWD, AT, Advance, CBP/Umber.

The car was the only Advance in the South for sale with this color combo and it had to be trucked to DFW from San Antonio, 6 hours away.

I paid $43,096 - $1,000 DN PMT assistance= $42,096. The deal included the following accessories:

Window Tint
Splash Guards
Door Moldings
Door Edge Guards
Wheel Locks
All Weather Package, OEM rubber mats and trunk tray

I also traded my 2005 TL Navi with 50K on the clock. The car was in good condition with the body and interior consistent with a 2005 car. Also, the car had been in a fender bender, so it did not have a clean CarFax. After a painful negotiation, they gave me $13,500 for my TL. Other dealers offered me $11,000 to $11,500 MAX.

Your opinions on this deal are appreciated!

Dan

I think you got a good deal considering you got something close to the blue book value of the car and it did not have a clean carfax

Looks like a very similar deal. If I understand correctly, you paid abot $900 more, but received the under body kit and the 3M. That seems like a great deal including these accessories!

Thanks! The trade was a deal breaker. I walked their lot on Sunday and they had 2 other 2005's with 70K+ miles in the same condition with a sticker of $17K. I was not going to take less than $13K, but was able to convince them I would walk if i did not get $13.5.

They also had to transport the new TL 6 hours distance at their cost not mine. When the car arrived in DFW it had 9 miles. Overall I feel good about the deal, but value opinions for the next time I go to battle!
