Does a regular luggage fit the trunk of a 4G TL?

Hey 4G TL owners,

Has anyone tried putting a regular sized luggage in their trunk? Does it fit? I currently drive a RDX and I am looking to get into the TL game. I do however need at least one luggage to fit in the trunk properly as I do a lot of travelling.

I recently loaded mine with the largest size allowed by the airlines (not sure of the dimensions off hand) without an issue at all. I'm sure the RDX you can stack a few but even though the TL doesn't have the best trunk space it can definitely handle some luggage.

I have a '13 RDX and a '14 TL sh-AWD. The AWD is relevant because the trunk is a little smaller. That said, the usable floor space is similar and I have no problem loading a 28" suitcase and a 20" "carry-on" in the TL. In the RDX, I can load a 28" and a 25" without stacking. The real benefit of the RDX is the ability to stack luggage (and my wife's shopping exploits).

Thanks for the input guys. The shape of the mold of the trunk looks deceiving and it would be a deal breaker for me if a luggage won't fit in it!

it's tight though. the 2 30's were also NOT fully stuffed and extended.

You better hope she doesn't spend time online or her next thing on the shopping list will be a fold out couch (LMAO)

Glad you are enjoying the TL.....It still brings a smile on my face every day!!

if you want to be certain, bring your luggage with you when you go test the car!
