Did I get a good price?

Wondering what others think...

I got a 2012 TL SHAWD with Tech in black with umber for $40,200 before tax. How do you think I did?

Congrats! If you like the car and are happy with it (as you should be) then you did good! Nice color combo.

Really? How much under invoice are people actually paying? I definitely didn't do the homework I've done in the past before taking this deal, and I'm fine with the deal I got, but I'm curious what others are getting. The color combination I got was the only one I was considering this time around (after having had several silver and grey cars with black leather, I was ready for a change), and there were only two of these available in So Cal.

I would ignore that reply. As I stated, what matters is what you feel.. you already laid down your $$, don't let online strangers spoil your good time. Go drive your baby and don't worry what people here think.

You have no reason to defend yourself Screw em if they don't like it.. in a few months, even better deals can be had but we pay the price for "wanting".

I've always been a bit leery when disclosing my deals online. Everyone and their mom somehow would get a better deal than me, even though I'm thousands under invoice...

They don't and never have. However the individual dealership can buy down the rate; which is what my dealership did for me

Edit: the higher apr that is being offered the more it costs to buy it down. I purchased when the apr was .9% so it only cost a few hundred to buy it down to 0%. To buy it down from 2.9% costs more obviously

Thanks man, yeah I saw this site and figured I did pretty well. I'm happy has hell, just wanted to see what others have to say.

A good deal is always relative. You want to spend a certain amount and you want a certain car. As long as you didn't exceed the amount and bought the car you wanted it's a good deal.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. Love it when it works itself out when I am not even here to finish the thought....

Man...a good deal is subjective....only YOU can say if you got a good deal or not. If you feel good about it...hey...you got a good deal! On the internet...and especially on the internet....there will always be somebody saying they got a better deal...went .5 mph faster....ect. Basic rule of thumb...if your happy with it...go with it!
