Check Charging system??
I looked at a 2010 Acura TL runs great Once I opened it up on the road the "Check Charging System" light came on and off then back on it didn't stay on. Guy replaced the Battery and Alternator from pepboys.
Not sure if it someone simple or can cost me $$$$
Is there a know problem easy fix for this issue. Is it possible from water damage

The Owner of the car claims this is what needs to be replaced. I don't know how one would be sure that was the issue. Buying a used 8 year car is scary and tricky

FYI, the duralast alternator is spotty with reliability. I went that route for out AWD SH TL and after 1 year it crapped out and threw the check charging system message. I had pepboys install a denso one which in their systems states its the oem brand.
Since all the newer cars rely on the computers they get pretty finicky once the power system has issues/ weak car battery etc. I am on like the third car battery for our TL.
As long as the car has a good maintenance history with oil changes and no accidents you should be in good shape. Maybe check the oil level to see if its one of the oil burning 4g's. Also check to see if there is a whining/whistle noise at highway speeds which is the propeller shaft bearing.
