Beats paying the dealer $100, for sure.

^ If you're trying to save money, why not simply buy a Purolator or Fram from the local parts store or online? I usually order mine online and buy 2-3 at a time. The other thing you can do is take the filter out and vacuum it on occasion- that will also extend the life of the filter.

It's so much easier to replace the filter on the 4G vs. 3G. It literally takes at most 2 minutes to do it.

Good info regardless!

Well it is very simple...IF you know what to do. If not, one can spend a lot of time trying to find it.

Save more money by buying cf10134 from Walmart online to pickup in store for $13, vs going to store and paying $18 for it... :/

Just make sure you lock down the edges in the tabs.
I just change in the spring and fall for the heck of it. It insanely simple compared to some of the older models

One of the people I work with was just telling me that she had her car (non-Acura) booked in for an oil change at a local tire/repair shop, and they told her that according to their records, when she came in they'd have to change the cabin filter...safety issue, apparently.

I sent her a Youtube video...saved her a few bucks. But the point is, it's not just the dealers any more. Independent mechanics are looking to cash in on this easy fix.

I've changed mine a couple of times and it's amazing how easy it is to do. I understand the dealers need to make money, but to charge $75+ is highway robbery for something that takes all of 2 mins (literally) to replace.
