Catalytic converter

Hey guys. i asked a question on a previous post about some upgrades to my 2010 sh-awd TL and removing the third cat. how many does the 4gen have and has anyone have any issues passing inspection after removal. I read is illegal due to this is inplace to control emissions

The 4G has 3 Cats, two are monitored and the third is not. Removal of the third Cat will not throw any CEL.

In Ontario where I am the car will pass Emission since there are no codes or CEL , Laws vary so this scenario may not apply to you if you have a visual inspection.

in the United States; it is illegal to tamper with catalytic converters. Simply put, shops will not touch it!
however; there are options to DIY
