Can the foot rest/dead pedal be removed?
I am picking up a 2010 tl this morning. I'm having some reservations because I get back pain in a lot of cars I sit in. I've been having lower back issues for the last year or so. My problem is that the angle of the dead pedal irritates my lower back. Does anyone know if its removable? This car would fit me perfect with out it. Is the floor actually angled like that or is there something under the carpet that can be removed?
Having second thoughts before getting my car today. Thanks for the help!

How do you have to rest your foot to alleviate the pain? I have a back issue as well, and I know everyone is different, but since having the TL my pain is virtually gone. Can't say for sure that it is the difference between my old car and this one, but it may be.
I drive 180 miles per day and have virtually no pain at all.
Can you bend your left knee and put your foot flat on the floor to relieve the pain?
