Is there a way you can buy the slider only which slides over the cup holder ?

No, you have to buy the whole cup holder. I just went through this whole process. Cost me $115. It was not fun to install either. In fact I just removed the slider from the new holder and installed it on the existing one. There is a u tube video on how to install, if you want to try it yourself.

Where did you buy from ? The shop quoted me 165 bucks for the entire set

I dont know how the slider broke in half and cant find the missing part , pretty sure the tech screwed up and not owning it.

Yes, all base models come in dark brown. It was confusing for me also.
