Body Side Molding...

Is it worth it? Do they work? On sample photos, they seem so low as to do any good.

While I am not big fan of the 4G TL, seeing it without the side molding to me actually looks better.

I think the body side molding looks very nice.
I went to the 09TL launch party last week at Acura of Peabody (MA) and the car they showed was Grigio Metallic with body side molding which really added a nice, yet subtle, accent.

Aside from the style aspect, do they really protect from door dings?

I have side moldings on my 3rd gen TL and I still got a couple dings. I think the design has it placed too low on the car to be truly effective. But that's the 3rd gen, maybe the positioning and its effectiveness have been improved for '09.

From sample pics, the side moldings on the '09 are pretty low as well.......looks like a waste of money.

Hope it's not a waste...

I ordered the side molding because I thought it would add a little detail to the car, not sure how effective it will be in helping the dings...

I'll try to post pics when I take delivery.
