Auto rev blip on 4G 6MT
Wondering if anyone else has noticed this: when downshifting from 6th to 5th gear, the revs climb about 500 rpms making the shift subsequently smooth. It happens most of the time, not all, hence I assume it's just how quickly I depress the clutch despite a complete release of the throttle - unless the electronic throttle is that smart.
It does not happen in any other downshift without rev matching.
It's never happened to me driving late model Audi, Mini or Subaru.
Thanks ahead for your comments.

Seems to me that the Honda engines are pretty free revving, and spin up easily (compared to what I'm used to). I feel like this happens as I shift a lot. If I am shifting to a lower gear to accelerate, or to climb a hill, this seems to happen, but if I'm decelerating to downshift it does not. I think it has nothing to do with the computer management, just the free revving nature of the engine.
