Auto Climate... Feature?
So NJ just got cold and I've been using the auto climate with my remote start a lot more. The other day I noticed that while I have my auto climate on the air is coming through the windshield and side dash vents, but not the center vents (right below the navi). Anyone else notice this? Is this a feature? I tested to make sure it was only something that happens during use with Auto, and when I put it on manual mode, the air does come out the center vents. I find it weird, those are my favorite vents for when I am freezing.

That is one very silly "feature."

IF you are inclined reach over and hit the "mode button" once or twice to put it on feet and middle vents. The temperature, fan speed, and compressor will still be on "auto", but you will have specified the vents you want.

Really? I'll have to try that, because all the cars that i've owned with Auto Climate control, my last car being the Altima SE-R, and even in my G37, the Auto Climate control for heat is always from the floor, and cool air will come from the top.

I'm pretty sure. for Example if you press auto and then select the vents it starts working. and then if you up the temperature the whole system starts working to adjust the temp in the car. fan speed increases, temp. of blowing air changes. adn after it reaches that internal temperature the system settles down..
In the winter when you could have ice on the outside of your window, and fog on the inside of the window, I believe what you want is warm and dry air blowing on the glass. i.e. the compressor working and full heat. It's a anti-fogging safety feature.

I thought when the air coming out to the front wind shield and side window is because the humidity sensor kicked in when it sense certain percentage of humidity inside the cabin. Otherwise, the warm air should coming out from the floor or center...
