Anyone leasing the 6MT?

I test drove the 6MT HPT. Considering a non-HPT lease. Did some numbers on the residual and money factor, and was a bit disappointed staring at the numbers.

With a 4K discount (39K cap cost) and a 2K initial payment (cap cost is then lowered to 37K), the lease calculator returned a $517 payment for 36 months.

Ouch!

With the same initial payment (2k) and a 4K discount, I can get into a $52K loaded GS350 (yes, a completely different car, let's take this just as an example) - with a monthly payment of just about $500.

Am I really fucking up somewhere on these calculations? Or does that seem right?

So, to follow up on the TITLE of this post.. How much are you paying for your lease?

Just a suggestion - do not put money down (cap reduction). If something happens to the car (totaled or stolen) early in the lease, you will lose the cap reduction.

On a side note I don't own a TL but as far as I know lease rates/residuals change on a monthly basis. Also, different banks might give different residuals for the same car.
