Anyone else waiting for a back ordered J37A4 short block assy?
So I dropped my TL off at the dealer a month ago to tear open the engine, determine the oil consumption cause and approve the short block replacement, and I'm still waiting for the block to come in. I've been told by the service manager that the short block assy is seriously back ordered and he doesn't even expect it to be in until early July.
I was just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat?
I also got to see my current block when I went to the dealer to grab some things out of my trunk (since it'll still be there for a while):

Worn piston rings, piston rings installed upside down from the factory, the Alusil liners that are ONLY on this J37 model failing.... tons of speculation but nothing concrete.

Had my block replaced along with intake valve guide seals in my 2012 TL about 2K miles ago. The block was on backorder for two months. The piston crowns of my old block looked just like that.
The good new is this block is using no oil in 2K miles.
