I got it today also. Speculation by automotive sites seems to be on a couple new models (new small car, NSX-remake), Acura changing gameplan (no longer targeting luxury market but tech/economy oriented) and several other things. Will be interesting to see, though.

I wonder if it's for the new NSX - there have been rumors that it was approved for production.

^There have been quite a bit of activity over at TOV about Acura's new products. Rumors have it Acura will debut the new RL, a redesigned 2013 RDX, the new ILX "sub 30k" sedan, and the new NSX (with rumors of it priced at anywhere from $80k-$100k).

I personally am looking forward to the new RDX as a possible new daily driver... and seeing how the new NSX competes with the 996/997 and if it will within my upcoming mid life crisis campaign.

I got it too. I'm anxious to see what the NSX really looks like. And, how close it looks to the renderings.

Most likely of the "rumors":

New Acura entry model is a Civic. The new Civic is such a POS by Honda standards that they're already scrapping the model not even a year into the cycle. Sounds like a way for Honda not to take that Civic as a total loss, since most of the complaints are interior related.

New NSX will be some hybrid SH-AWD BS from all the press info. More ZZZZ from Honda.

TSX is gone or TL is gone. Two become one and will be like be "TL" for the name recognition.

RDX gets a V6.

RL may also get the hybrid SH-AWD.

Direct Injection on all engines finally!

Direct electric motor on the trans bell housing on all models too from the look of it....40hp electric motor.

V6 displacement drops from 3.7L to 3.5L, but with the direct injection and the electric motor, HP output is increased over the 3.7 as is mileage.

No DOHC V6.

I got the email. Acura is going to introduce the ILX (new small compact), redesigned RDX and the NSX. The bones on the new RDX looks decent. The new compact Acura will undoubtedly be a snoozefest and fugly. Acura is introducing the NSX maybe 2-3 years too late. I don't think anyone is going to care. What they should have focused on is fixing the woeful RL. Improve on the controversially styled TL. Acura has to work on it's bread and butter TL, TSX, and RL before introducing some forgettable compact and a halo car, NSX that will be low volume and largely ignored by consumers. IMHO.

- TSX and TL are not going anywhere, Acura will have a 4 sedan lineup, atleast for the near future (direct from Acura's twitter)

- We will see the new NSX concept, the ILX, and redesigned RDX

- RDX will drop the sh-awd system in favor of the simpler AWD system found on the CR-V, this will be primarily for weight savings in an effort to increase fuel economy

- new RDX looks like a tiny MDX

- new ILX shares only the civic platform. sheetmetal and interior are brand new

- CVT to debut on ILX and TSX

- E-ShAWD will debut on the 2013 RL at the 2012 NY Auto show

- DI will slowly come to honda with its three new engines

- NSX will have upwards of 400 bhp, and closely resembles the Avengers Concept Car (TOV)

- Rumors point to the NSX being driven in the back by the new 3.5 V6 and in the front by 2 hybrid electric motors, price point in the low 6 figure range somewhere between R8 and GTR

I guess we'll see what Acura decides to do with the TSX and TL. I do not have a Twitter account, so I have not heard anything about the latest Acura news on twitter. I used to have a 05 TSX, great nimble vehicle; I would hate to see it disappear from Acura's lineup. Recent rumors have it that the TSX and esp the TL have grown too much in size (rendering the RL useless) and that one of them was going to be killed off.

It would nice for Acura to have a BMW "equivalent" of 1 series (ILX), 3 series (TSX), 5 series (TL) and 7 series (RL). If that were the case, I would imagine the TSX shrunken a bit, the TL somewhat shortened in length, and the RL increased in length/overall dimensions.

We'll find out in a few days...

That NSX Concept is awesome! And, I'm very pleased with the direction Acura appears to be heading. Liked the ILX and the redesigned RDX. Finally the RDX with a strong V6 and decent fuel economy. Very good Acura! Keep it up and give us the 5G TL we all lust for!!! I'm excited for Acura again.

The RDX looks good. It finally got a V6. The NSX concept looks good. The ILX is the best looking Acura sedan. Too bad that it's a very weak engine. It's not going to be a competitor to BMW, MB, Audi, or Lexus. It has upscale compacts like VW Passat/GTI, Mini Cooper, Volvo C30, maybe IS 250 more in it's cross sights.

Although I would never consider the ILX due to the anemic engine, it will be a hit with young professionals just out of college looking for their first car purchase. I wouldn't be surprised if it leads both the TL and TSX in monthly sales.

Hopefully, Acura moves more towards this design language for it's future redesigns (TL and RL). If the TL looks as good in the 4G, I'd definitely consider getting one.

The ILX is the Integra 4 door / Acura EL / TSX all over again. Just like the TSX 1st gen, it's easy on the eyes. Just like the TSX 1st gen, No power. Just like the TSX 1st gen, High price. You will be able to get a near current loaded Accord V6 with 100 more HP, similar MPG, and nearly all the toys.

As I mentioned before, the ILX leaves no room for the TSX. TL/TSX become one model, and the RL/flagship car gets big uppins or one gets dropped.

Lexus took the stoop first by making a corolla into a "Lexus"....now Honda with the Civic. Should learn lessons from Cadillac and the Cimmaron or the Catera, or the Acura EL....see also Infinit Sentra and Altima "G20 and G30 and J...yadda yadda" attempts....

Well I do know Honda isn't going to drop the TSX just yet. Its posted here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthr...=841638&page=3

Also maybe if Acura changes and decides to do a 4 sedan lineup maybe they can make it work like other luxury brands. BMW,Audi, Lexus makes it work. Just match em right imo, but im daydreamin now. ILX, TSX,TL, and RL = BMW 1,3,5,7 series.

The Lexus HS is for all practical purposes, a corolla they stretched the wheel base 6 inches on. Oh, and it's a nifty hybrid alternative to the too proud for a prius types.
