ANOTHER new owner, 2012 TL SH-AWD Base

Howdy everyone.

Posting about new car purchases seems to be the trend lately...and I'll add to it as well.

I recently purchased a 2012 Acura TL SH-AWD Base model. Bought it in TX about 2 weeks ago and drove it up to Michigan. Love the car, drives great, pretty comfortable, decent on gas. The trunk isn't the most friendly to luggage (weird shape) but oh well.

Im not new to car forums. I'm coming from mbworld where I used to drive a heavily modified 2002 MB C32 AMG (>440 hp, tq) that had to go because I needed something for the snow. Was very active on there, and looking forward to being on here as well.

So far, I've gotten an aftermarket remote start (didn't want the Acura one) and have an aftermarket (OEM looking from the outside) backup sensors. And yes, I've removed the dealer sticker from the trunk (just haven't taken a pic since lol)

BTW...since I've got you all reading, one thing I've noticed on my 18 or 20 (or something) hour drive...the car on the driver side doesn't seem very airtight. i hear an "airy" noise that isn't there by the other doors when driving. No water/rain seeps into the car. Brought the car in already and they replaced the weather stripping, some kind of door seal , and had to replace the window regulator b/c the window/door rattled when opening/closing...which they said was due to the tint I bought the car with. This didn't resolve the "airy" noise. Someone had mentioned to me possibly needing to do have the door latch adjusted and bring the door closer to the car. Thoughts?

Here are some pics of my old ride and the new one!

I see you've already found the following thread on the door noise:

https://acurazine.com/forums/4g-tl-problems-fixes-297/f-009-air-leak-highway-noise-drivers-side-773730/

just thought i'd link it in your thread as well in case anyone else is experiencing it.

Was in a supposedly minor rear fender bender

...had her for 10 yrs. Gonna miss a lot about that car (loved that torque and supercharger whine) but I'm really remitting this car now too... Just a little different. Nice to get combined 22 mpg vs combined 15 lol

It is possible that the fender bender may have caused the passenger door to misalign, which as a result can't seal up properly causing the wind noise.

Aren't SH-AWD TL base models were 'custom' ordered? I don't think these specs available. Correct me if I'm wrong...
